Obsidian Mayan Symbols 10cm

$35

There are four symbols that are well known in the Aztec culture. The jaguar represents strength, the figure on the right represents the Mayan ball player, the man represents the warrior of sacrifice, and the sun and moon represents the eclipse.

Obsidian discs hand-carved by the Aztec pyramids in Mexico. Each piece will come with a hand-made, silver-plated stand.

Obsidian dates back to the beginning of time, while protective and spiritual tools date back to early human civilizations. Obsidian is incredibly sharp and were used as knives/axes, while offer spiritual protection from evil. Mayans used Obsidian to view the sun. Authentic obsidian (yes, there are fake heat-treated ones out there), allows you to directly look at the sun. However, I do not advise staring at the sun for long periods of time without proper, certified protection*

From Teotihuacan, Mexico, David hand-carved and polished each of these Obsidian pieces. The 10 cm disc takes one full day to carve, while the larger piece takes 3 full days. David's friend, also an artisan, handmade silver-plated stands for the Obsidian discs to sit on top.

Disc is 10cm, ~0.5 lbs.
