Obsidian Aztec Calendar 10cm

Obsidian discs hand-carved by the Aztec pyramids in Mexico. Each piece will come with a hand-made, silver-plated stand.

Obsidian dates back to the beginning of time, while protective and spiritual tools date back to early human civilizations. Obsidian is incredibly sharp and were used as knives/axes, while offer spiritual protection from evil. Mayans used Obsidian to view the sun. Authentic obsidian (yes, there are fake heat-treated ones out there), allows you to directly look at the sun. However, I do not advise staring at the sun for long periods of time without proper, certified protection*

From Teohuatican, Mexico, David hand-carved and polished each of these Obsidian pieces. The 10 cm disc takes one full day to carve, while the larger piece takes 3 full days. David's friend, also an artisan, handmade silver-plated stands for the Obsidian discs to sit on top.
